CLUB HISTORY
1960 to present (02/09/10)

Blackbrook F.C. started life in 1960 season playing in the St.Helens Comb. the following season they had grown to two teams one in St.Helens and one in Warrington. The club had immediate success with players like Joe Dolan Ken Shuttelworth and Jack Kilroy showing the spirit the club has been famous for.Following in their boots in the seventies came our most successful team(so far) with league and cup winners every season for 10 years .Players like P.Smith Oggie Marsh and Joe Case good enough to play at any level .The seventies also saw the Picton brothers (Alan Colin Barry )start a dynasty that was and still is a major influence in the club .The eighties saw more trophies thanks to legend (his word )Tony Donnelly .the nineties brought more talent with Kieran Frost Dave Picton both representing Merseyside .The new century saw us in the Warrington premier with a long over due trophy coming in 2007 the drinkwater cup .Andy Waddilove scored and broke his leg in the final but other goals by Mal Saunders and Matty Prior saw Stu Hallliwells team home We entered our 50th season hoping for success under Phil Picton and my we got it finnishing top of the premier division and second for our reserves !BLACKBROOK F.C.
